explaining the joke

in lore, arceus is called the first pokemon that created all the rest
also in lore, mew is called the first pokemon as in the common ancestor of all pokemon
bulbasaur is pokedex number 1
and rhydon (not rhyhorn, oops) has index number 1 in gen 1, and is likely the first pokemon created during development

concept: four pokemon anthros, a bulbasaur, a mew, an arceus, and a rhyhorn, all holding one of those novelty "#1 (whatever)" mugs, glaring at each other in intense rivalry

far too much sunlight gets in our eyes between like 3:30 and 5:30 pm every day where we normally sit, even though the blinds are closed

stop it sun you are too bright

there is very definitely a particular sort of style of furry art that makes it very obvious that the artist is not themself a furry

minor gripe about things

people who say LB to things should make the post be a reply to the thing it's talking about so that people who aren't following the person can see what it is without having to go to their page and look at what they boosted

random thought: what good games were there on the sega saturn that either didn't get released on other consoles or had major exclusive features (like how only the saturn version of symphony of the night lets you play as maria)?

kinda wondering if a saturn would be an interesting system to try to get sometime

request for resources regarding ableism

does anyone have any resources i can use when explaining why "triggered" isn't an okay synonym for "getting upset", so that my abled ass doesn't try to explain it and possibly end up misrepresenting the whole thing? the target audience would be "people who i don't believe are malicious, they just don't know that it's harmful", because if i think it's in bad faith i wouldn't bother

ideally i'd love something like spreadtheword.global/resource-, an faq about not using the r slur (cw, the page itself does use it, but only in the context of "this is the word we're talking about")

tails are just very good, you know?

i want to cuddle into a multi-tailed friend with lots of fluffy tails

food terminology poll

because I'm curious how this is distributed, which of these is the term you would be more likely to use for a single dish consisting of mixed lamb and beef cooked on a rotisserie in the Greek style? Assume it's presented however you like it best (e.g. wrapped with vegetables in a pita, or served on a plate with rice and salad, autc.).

pol observation

it strikes me as a bit... something, that the typical person will hear anarchy and think authoritarian rule-by-force

you ever just want to hug a giant glaceon

i was going to say it bugs us but then rosemary was quite insistent that no, it actually just bugs me

the fact that formidable does not mean "able to be formidded" bugs me

of course this machine is absolutely ridiculous and even our dream computer is way lower-spec than this

nothing, and i mean nothing, needs two-way SLI on RTX 2080 SUPERs. Nothing for a personal computer needs a TR 3990X or a 16 TB hard drive or 256 GB of RAM, though those would be reasonable on high-spec servers and stuff

just made something about as ridiculously overspecced as I could on pcpartpicker just for the hell of it

pcpartpicker.com/list/HXfR6R

now that i think about it i could have made it more ridiculous
that case has space for more hard drives, imagine six or seven 16 TB HDDs in RAID 10

definitely could have used a more ridiculous monitor too but... i want this one. 3440x1440 is a pleasing resolution
