just saw a video of someone who needed bare thermocouples buying a couple of those really expensive thermocouple probes, you know the ones that cost like $50, and cutting them apart to get the thermocouple wire out of them

instead of just.... buying a premade and pre-terminated bare thermocouple for like $5

also there's a sixth cpu dedicated to doing sound but that was the norm at the time

apparently they might've been planning genesis back-compatibility because they used the 68000 as the audio coprocessor in the saturn, the same chip as the cpu of the genesis (this was common; the ps2 used the ps1's main cpu as an audio coprocessor which enabled near-perfect ps1 back-compatibility, and the gba did the same for the gbc)

in summary this has me really down and i don't know what to do about it which just makes it worse

finally heard back from an artist we were talking to about a commission months ago, who suddenly vanished and didn't reply to messages for months

they said that despite their previous interest in it they don't think they can do it

this is something that has me feeling extremely down because this was 1) an artist we had wanted to commission for ages and 2) a picture we really wanted to get, and i don't know what other artist would be good to talk to about the idea

and 3) the massive unexplained delay in a response just makes it even worse
