your brain just wants to think about everything you've ever done wrong or messed up on

mm. feeling like we have a lot of complicated plural mess to figure out but we don't have any energy to put into that ever because work is too much

the existence of key lime pie implies the existence of lock lemon cake

we've gotten used to seeing british spellings for most things, but the one that will never not look wrong to us is "chilli" for what we spell as "chili"

the Hearth :ms_agender_flag: boosted

Mutual Aid, GFM, Med, Boosts+++

We're going through cancer treatment, and have big, scary bills to pay and need help. It's a big ask, but we're slowly getting there thanks to y'all.
Please keep boosting and sharing the fundraiser page, we can't do this alone.
We have several upcoming doctor appts and the possible chemo to deal with as well, so I classify this as urgent.

food

why do so many lunchmeats have italian names

salami, pastrami, pepperoni, prosciutto, bologna, capicola, pancetta, sopressata...
-F

using words like "drastic" or "severe" to describe things that they would not normally be used to describe is amusing

"these are some drastic cookies"
"those are really severe socks you're wearing"

they didn't even have a price label on them, but i imagine if they did they'd be several hundred

we went to the grocery store yesterday and they had a display all about parmigiano-reggiano (which waterfox has helpfully decided should be spelling-corrected to paranoia-reggiano) and in addition to a bunch of reasonably sized wedges of the cheese (which were still really expensive due to being imported cheese) they had five half-wheels of it, about 20 pounds each

i can't help but wonder if anyone has ever purchased one of those from them
