The "lucky 10,000" mindset (https://xkcd.com/1053/) is a much more positive and helpful way of thinking about things than the "how do you not know that?" mindset. try to make people part of today's lucky 10,000, not just belittle them for not knowing things!

it's one of those things that you never generally think there would be a word for but actually there is and when you know there's a word for it it's obvious there would be a word for that, just not something people generally think about that much. unless you work in the textile industry probably

incidentally, if you didn't know, pilling is what it's called when fabric develops those little balls of thread on its surface! it just kind of happens over time, mostly from rubbing against things. some fabrics are more prone to it than others.

I don't know what it's like on twitter but it's usually a good idea to read someone's profile before following to see if there's anything like that
