Out of curiosity, to anyone who plays video games often: Do you typically have one finger on each shoulder button, or one finger per side, resting between to press either? I fall in the latter category, and am curious how common this is, since it seems to be not the intended way to hold the controller.

Well. The first song (as in a piece of music that is sung) I've ever found myself able to actually enjoy. That alone should tell you something of its quality.

This is the music played during the opening cinematics (yes, that's plural) of the game. Multiple opening cinematics are a staple of the ambiguously-capitalized Wild Arms series, changing as you progress through the story.

Felthry's list of favorite video games, in no particular order:

Suikoden 2
Baten Kaitos
Tales of Xillia 2
Wild Arms 3
Xenoblade Chronicles

Completed Wild Arms 3. That's... definitely going on my list of favorite video games.

I wonder where the idea of silver as an anti-evil metal came from?

Could it be because people noticed silver flatware staves off disease or something? (it's naturally antimicrobial)

I figured out what it is that I like so much about Wild Arms 3.

There is no romance subplot. Despite the fact that the main character is a woman with three male travel companions.

The main character is not sexualized, despite being a woman (modest dress, no innuendoes, etc). This is particularly rare in video games--even Samus has been rather sexualized in recent installments.

And then on top of that the story is fantastic and the character development outstanding.

Poor people aren't lazy and also being lazy doesn't mean you don't deserve a decent life.

differential equations are pretty nice too! I really like working with the Laplace transform, it makes things so nice

this isn't sarcastic or anything. I really do think that calculus, especially vector calculus, is the point at which math started being fun for me

Translated titles of japanese game soundtracks are often rather awkward.......
I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to go through and give more elegant titles (while retaining the intended meaning) to some of these.

I wonder if that'd be something people would be interested in, or is it just me who's this into soundtrack music?
