@tompurl they should try checking out Pride center in nearest larger city. most have a trans meetup and an online group as well and may also have a neurodivergent group as well. Regional one's will be better able to point at relevant resources for area.
while they're on quest for that, might also enjoy the book "Spectrums: Autistic Transgender People in Their Own Words" which spans a wide away of experiences & how those two things intersect

My amazing wife is finishing her master's degree in Data Analytics. For her capstone, she wants to put together a research project related to #transgender safety (or lack thereof) in the United States, in hopes that the project can be leveraged to help #trans people. The project must use only publicly available #data, rather than collecting original research data.
What *publicly available* data resources can you point us to?

@tabbiewolf crossposting to mastodon is a bit hit or miss. I finally got it to send tumblr posts from Pride's tumblr to the mastodon... sort of. It checks for "new" posts but I cannot figure out the schedule it does it on, so it sometimes does it right away, sometime does three days worth.

One thing I don't think people get about red states is that they're fed a CONSTANT diet of "the government can't do anything right, elect me and I will reduce the government's role in your lives"
And then the patently corrupt people saying this get elected, hand out plum positions to their cronies, loot the state funds to line their pockets while destroying public services, and thereby REINFORCE the perception that the government can't do anything right
And the cycle continues

Honestly, this is great! The students learn to check sources, discover that ChatGPT is unreliable, *and* can't use it to generate essay question answers for them, all at the same time!

I will not be happy with the state of intra-city transport in europe until:
