Trans people probably shouldn't ask me for advice with their parents because my advice is always, "don't ever talk to them again unless they apologize sincerely and never fuck up your name and pronouns again ever."
trans + family
@IrisKalmia but it's not what people want to hear when they're crying because their parents said the meanest shot ever to them and they want their parents to love them :(
trans + family
@Fuego I mean that's also true but like... I see so many trans peeps struggling desperately to find love in people who don't care and slowly smothering themselves in the process.
trans + family
@IrisKalmia it's not even that they don't care, they are the products of a shitty culture and they don't know any better. They think being trans is the worst thing their child can be and any means of killing that is okay.
Once you really make it clear what the stakes are often they come back better.

@Fuego I honestly wish I would have taken that advice instead of constantly submitting to guilt-trips and trying over and over again... x.x
trans + family
@Oneironott me too :/
trans + family
@Fuego You showed them <3 Seriously, you are absolutely beautiful :D I hope I can get there someday
I.. also hope I can get over the ingrained assumption that i never -will- get there x.x
@Fuego I got lucky, in a way. I was kicked out the second I turned 18 and told not to return until I was right with God. Haven't spoken to them since.
Though I have resources saying they're trying to find me... ha! good luck. they'll be looking for a dude.
@Mobius I'm sorry it went down that way *hug*

@Fuego nah that's solid advice imo
