Today I learned that 1080i-capable (1400×1080 physical resolution) flat Trinitron displays (with HDMI input, no fucking less) existed and I am so jealous of rich people in 2004 holy shit

@cat I got one for $80 a few years back. It weighs 400 lbs and light guns don’t work on it :(

@Fuego yeahhhh I wouldn’t expect it to, is it just putting blank scanlines inside SD content?

@cat I think it refreshes at like 100hz instead of 60 or something weird and standard breaking

@Fuego hmm, weird. I’d have expected it to be because it doesn’t sync with lightgun timing because ½ to ⅔ of each expected scanline interval is spent drawing a blank line instead because of the higher vertical resolution
