Reading/rereading through books in the Star Wars Extended Universe (now, Legends) is reminding me just how much of a soft spot I have for mundane stories set in high fantasy/science fiction settings.

Instead of Jedi coming-of-age power fantasies, give me the routine day of a baker, a scrap dealer, or a speeder bike technician on an alien world. What does that look like?

@Goldkin I guess this is the ultimate direction I want to take my concept ~/shell.
I've got a lot of worldbuilding to this transhumanist inflatables setting, but I've always wanted to live in it rather than think up some sort of story to it.
So some more mundane slice-of-life thing is always an option, but, dramaaaaa...
