Thanks to @SoniEx2, I realized that I can use a 3.5mm-to-USB dongle with my PC. I've been saved literally hundreds of dollars.
The audio jack on my laptop kicked the bucket. To fix it you have to replace the motherboard. That's five hundred dollars.
