relationships, anxiety, negative
@Jacel I know. I don’t expect you to “just be okay”. It’s not your job to just “fake it” for me and I don’t want you to. I’m just... not dealing with it well myself, and I know that’s not productive. I’m looking for approaches I can take that might do some actual good.
I know there are real problems here and they are sincerely hard. It scares me and I’m not handling that very well. I promise I’m still trying and I will keep trying.

emotions
I miss @Jacel very much.
So if you talk to non-Gerudo NPCs around the Gerudo Desert in Breath of the Wild, you'll notice a common theme: they all have trouble with words like "sav'aaq," "sav'saava," etc. One of them will actually explain to you how to make the /v/ sound.
This leads me to believe that the sound /v/ does not exist in Hylian, which would make sense as Hylian is often just Japanese with a different coat of paint (see: Old Hylian text in Wind Waker).
Anyway, that was a fun thing I noticed and wanted to share.
mastodon feature to let people follow your public posts regardless of you allowing them to follow you or not is long overdue
i want to let people follow my public posts but i want to filter who sees my follower-only posts
lists could work for this but oops you can only add people you follow... i don't really get why
come on folks, please?
Social Stuff
@Jacel @emanate @KawaSeadrake I still want a MUCK system that plays nice with modern smartphones.
Diane Duane is one of my favorite authors, and so I pass this on. All their ebooks are on sale, and there’s also a paypal address provided.

An unexpected financial shortfall has left us in danger of losing our home. Would you consider buying a sale-priced #ebook to help us out? http://dianeduane.com/outofambit/a-difficult-appeal/

politics
One of the weirder things that I think about after looking at a lot of satellite photography is that...Is the regulations for new housing/general construction in America _actually too stringent_?
In all seriousness, if you look at a lot of new cities overseas, they just kinda...build multistory buildings before the roads are even in, and when I look around my own city, I see buildings lying vacant because either permits have to arrive or labor isn't available.
meta, abuse
How can one talk discuss persistent, long-term patterns of abusive behavior from someone who has themselves become a target of widespread abuse? The need to defend someone facing abuse sometimes gives abusers cover of their own, and that looks like a hard problem and it keeps me up at night sometimes.
@Finfell@dragon.style @frameacloud Low-effort brain excreta that doesn’t really express a concept the author wants to defend or take seriously, just to express - sometimes for social contact purposes, sometimes to relieve an urge to speak, sometimes to just get it out of one’s mind.
“Slackpost” is an alternative, although Slack as a platform is unfortunately ambiguity-generating.
