Him: "You guys have a book that came out this week. It's got Cable in it?"
Me: "Yeah, I think it's called Cable Last Hope?"
Him: "That's the one, did you know there's a second volume that's already out?"
Me: "Uh, it came out this week, so I don't think there's a second volume out yet."
Him, reading further down the amazon page: "Oh, wow that comes out in december. You should totally get that."
Me: "...."

Today is one of those marathon kinda days. The customers are slow enough that I'm keeping up with the pace of the new things that require my attention. And doubly fortunately, my polycule has been super wonderful and flexible and has done a number of things that is helping this week look a lot less stressful. <3

Today is my day to knock out a bunch of projects and I'm doing okay so far! I'm also kind of hanging out in the general vicinity of the store just in case my employee needs me (cause this is his last official week of training).

So far I have:
- Sent emails regarding tabletop day and Free comic book day
- Designed assets for TTD and FBCD
- had a lovely conversation with @emanate about setting up a budget with them
- Set up an advertising campaign for our Prerelease events!

I'm kinda struggling this morning (cause Mondays) to motivate myself. I've done a fair bit so far though, including putting in an order for some very long-needed hardware upgrades here at the store.

I think it's just one of those days where I can't look at discourse either, which isn't helping given all the stuff that went down with witches.town.

I really kind of want to get my ears pierced soon. It’s been a thought in the back of my head for the last few days. I’ve gotten a good recommendation, all I really need to do is find the time.

Last night I fell apart pretty hard due in part to several sets of choices I made throughout the day. @literorrery was amazing and sat with me through all the pain and I did come out the other side. It's becoming apparent to me that I have some emotional scarring of my own to heal from and that's gonna take time.

I'm really raw today, so please bear with me if I'm touchy or distant, or if I want excessive amounts of hugs.

This is leaving me feeling really drained and a little frustrated and tired, but it'll be worth it to cross this crap off of my list and put this project to bed.

ECCC is done and I can breathe again. Today I got a lot of headway in on an end of month store project, and got some brainstorming done on some other web work that needs to get underway.

Sunday was a really nice day with my @IceWeasel and a lovely dinner with Mistress @literorrery and the rest of the polycule. I even got to bring some of the risotto she made into work today. Soooo tasty! :9

The last few years birthdays and I have had a weird relationship. I think my hesitancy to ask for a little self-indulgence kinda peaks around this month honestly cause there are so many people with birthdays around my own. Em's was a few days ago, mine's next Friday, Ellu & Izzy's are early March. And there are others.

And this year, with all of the everything else going on it just feels inappropriate to event consider asking. Especially considering I work that Friday

A quarter of our Modern Magic event tonight is made up of trans/non-binary folks. I’m really happy that’s a thing :)
