@LexYeen@snouts.online Why limit to just Opportunity? We should locate and properly honor all of our brave explorers who tested and probed and helped prepare the way. Granted, I feel like Oppo should get something special, cause it lasted almost 15 years on a 90 day mission and honorable service above and beyond the call of duty should be recognized and rewarded. But let's be real: All of them are small robots with lightning brains made by apes with anxiety. The fact they worked at all should be celebrated.

If an old piece of tech actually works that well, the design is probably worth cribbing from directly and might have components not obvious to someone working from newer technology.
