pol opinion.
I’m starting to think that capitalism is a bit like eating meat; getting all Americans to go vegetarian isn’t likely but most people feel the animals they eat should have at least kind of okay lives. Getting people divested from this system is nigh impossible but it’s far more likely we can get people interested in universal health care, forgiven college debt, rent control, reduced hours and expanded social security. It’s the cruelty that everyone dislikes.

@Veladynee or the beginning of “How Long Not Long,” where he’s talking about how the wealthy awarded white southerners racial pride in lieu of actually good standards of living...
re: pol opinion.
@Leucrotta The trick is selling it to the American mindset because many Americans see anything given for free as demeaning. Hence "No handouts! work for it!" mostly due to their own lives being miserable and the "Achievements" they get feeling like they earned it rather than being little things given out to keep them passive and working otherwise miserable and pointless jobs.
