A guy called me an imbecile on Twitter. This guy is apparently a noted and respected economist. It was a one-word tweet in reply to me questioning whether a guy who's been on TV with Ron Paul can really be called "non-political."

The same guy is responsible for the diagram below. It is probably deeply profound if you have drunk the financier kool-aid, but I'm still giggling over it. It looks just like the webpage of every frantic webkook who's ever tried to persuade me I'm an idiot for not believing Space Reptiles control the US government.

(I know space reptiles and they've all got better things to do.)

@zebratron2084 this reads as an attempt to snow the reader such that they’ll concede to the presenter’s intellectual superiority. To be fair I’m biased by this economist’s reaction to you, but all this reads as “someone with pet theories which so happen to coincide with making them *awesome*.” My impression of economics is that it’s way more flexible - and profitable - for such than the sciences.
