leftists
@zebratron2084 I remember when I finally figured out I was Queer, I liked UM’s lesbians more because they were angry about the patriarchy etc while us gays just seemed content to dance and hump, as a repudiation of gender roles on both sides and, in retrospect, my life would’ve been happier if I’d really run with the vacant twink thing.
re: leftists
@zebratron2084 being Queer has been a lot like being Jewish for me; finally I’m with my own tiny minority so we’ll be better, right? Nope, just different flawed people who have my orientation or genetics. (I get the feeling that every minority is that way.) The tendency of 20somethings to earnestly want to Fix Everything (frequently by talking) doesn’t help with that and plugs into the conviction that those on one’s side politically are inviolable saints or HORRIBLE BETRAYERS.
re: leftists
@Leucrotta which also reminds me of another early negative example, my high school era (and first "big city"-- Cleveland suburbs, wow!) friend Amanda's older sister, who was a radical feminist who berated Amanda for "betraying the movement" by being bi >________<
of course Amanda got mad at me for Doctrine Reasons for innocently describing myself as "a lesbian trapped in a man's body," even though it was my FIRST EVER sincere profession of my trans leadings and i had no idea that had ever been said as a Dude Joke >_____<
in short tbh queer people kinda blow chunks actually >______<
