something I've been thinking of is using FATE or WEG d6 Star Wars to run Starfinder, since Starfinder is meant to be space opera with ship combat and magic powers, but the rules don't "feel" like ultra fast roll dice and find out. Both Star Wars and Starfinder have really specific setting details, and tbh I think the latter has a lot of appeal. (I don't just say that because there are ratfolk.)
Would people actually go for something like that, though?
@Leucrotta I'd also be interested in playing if you're running it in an online setting and I can make the scheduling. (Cat-herding, yaaaay....)
@Leucrotta They just might!
If you're into Powered by the Apocalypse games, check out Impulse Drive as well; if you bought the BLM itch.io sale bundle last year then you probably already have a copy, and it definitely has that vibe of rules light GOTG-style shenanigans.
@Leucrotta what about that game where you illustrated the aliens?
@xinjinmeng I actually have never played Myriad Song or the new pulp styled game; I don’t know what the rules are like.
@Leucrotta I've had enormous success adapting the setting out of older games with vivid worldbuilding but crusty rulesets into FATE, so personally I'd say go for it!
