Dim sum was good despite going with parents who don’t like tripe, liver, jellyfish, congee, etc. Clearly I need more relatives who are Chinese-American. But now I need to sleep for 6 hours.
@zebratron2084 it’s *weird* how my friends locally are mostly not dim sum types. Also I thought you were an English lit major?
@Leucrotta Triple major in English, History, and Asian Studies. A lot of my classes overlapped so it turned out to be an easy bureaucratic trick to pick up a 3rd major. n.n;
@Leucrotta the next time I'm in Seattle I would love dim sum!
@eredien This is actually over in Bellevue. The drive's bad and parking's difficult, but they're way nicer than places here (outside the international district, which I really haven't been in much).
@Leucrotta someday when you can deal with a bout of crushing envy, remind me to tell you about the time the asian studies department at case western discovered we had a $3000 banquet budget that had gone unspent and so they took every single a.s. major to li wah's in downtown cleveland for epic dim sum... and we had two fluent cantonese speakers with us
