Back in late summer/early autumn I started coloring some and I finally got off my ass and finished up three of them. So I'm gonna spam art for a bit. Here's what I had least finished before that temp job ended, so the most influenced by stuff I've learned recently.

Spam fried rice, used up the last guy lon and threw in some preserved vegetables.

the big things I did with my day at least so far is I did an in-person interview and colored a

today, a three stage character inspired by old Ral Partha/Citadel minis.

A take on a meme with D&D settings. The Virgin Forgotten Realms Adventurer (personally met Elminster once, +3 everything, Harper, feasts on finest whatever) vs The Chad Athasian (former anonymous quarry slave who lives in fantasy Fresno, owns a +1 scapula and ate the last of her friend 3 days ago).

I realize these are probably not the sort of you’d think would come out of a trip to the art museum and facing body image issues, but it’s what was on my mind.

I was really struck by this Calder painting where the portrayal of forms physically joined together or overlapping suggests that is something he found interesting in his mobiles/stabiles. And by the small models which let him loosely figure out composition and balance; I figure the payoff of a largely unpredictable artwork balanced out the need to plan meticulously.

A selection of photos from the Calder exhibit. I was caught by how not only does the composition potentially change from moment to moment but the shadow cast by the mobiles offers a 2d take on them changing.

Colored another today while listening to a whole batch of Danheim and Skald and stuff.
