I need to remember that I might not *be* desperately flawed and utterly unlikable. I just *feel* desperately flawed and utterly unlikable right now, which is bad in its own way.

nationaldaycalendar.com/novemb

so apparently November is World Vegan *Month*. Counter to what we've heard it's actually Lots of Nuts November. Nitrogen Fixer November.

No Nut November but there are other months about food allergies. Because it's relatively rare it doubles as No Nightshade November. There's No Dairy December. Gluten Free February.

I don't believe in wars where one side are only perfect saints and the other side are only dire war criminals. That's not how war works, there's a reason it's considered a bad thing that perhaps we shouldn't do all the time.

I'm not entirely sure how I went from dance music to "let's listen to 14 minutes or so of someone droning a Saxon charm for healing horses" but it's seasonal kinda, so running with it

* forgets the lyrics to this Heilung song and just yells out futhark runes, that'll basically do the same thing *

This is from 1989 in case you were wondering how much things actually changed since.

final days, even our pups know this is the age, question hangs heavy in the air, you know the routine.

"where you come from is GONE! Where you thought you were goin' to weren't never THERE! An' where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it!"

*stomps accelerator*

okay, listening to the Bad Driving Theme Song means I need to listen to the OTHER Bad Driving Theme Songs

the problem with listening to Juno Reactor is that literally every track potentially could be That Part Where Neo Like Fights That One Dude

we're KGAY, the GAY station! We've been Queering up YOUR radio dial for 50 YEARS and yet all you'll ever hear is FRESH BEATS from the last 3 MONTHS

... yes, that last part is why I'm revisiting Juno Reactor today.

This whole miserable bullshit plays *right* into the exact worst things I think about humanity in general.

@frost I don't think that'll be too much of a problem; they'll check over the dog, and if the dog really *is* dead, clearing the body away is their job, and if the dog's alive they'll get it to a shelter of some sort because that part *isn't* something they can really do well. Either way once called in, they're going to do something.

@frost Glad you made it back okay. Again, thanks for taking the hit of checking on them and calling it in.

People in fiction deal are okay dealing with dead bodies all the time because they're *people in fiction*. Trust me on this one, I've seen how many dead people of various species over the years? I'm still not always cool with it.

@frost There *are* folks who are assholes, but there are also people who just panic when stuff like that happens - are they gonna be in trouble, is their car in good shape to make it back, etc. It's possible they were the ones who got the dog to the sidewalk; it's also possible the dog managed to get to the sidewalk on their own.
