@frost additionally, there are coyotes living there!

“This would kill a Victorian child”

MEANWHILE
IN BLACKFRIARS
IN 1879

“Try a steak and kidney pie, guv’nor? This’d kill a Georgian or Regency child, it would!”
*sniffles*
*wipes nose on sleeve*

@chimerror so I did that and then I discovered dictation parses “wires” as “wars” for whatever reason

Take a little walk to the edge of town you go across the track
Where the viaduct looms like a bird of doom as it shifts and cracks
Where secrets lie in the border fires
In the humming wires
You’ll never know you aren’t coming back
You put de lime in de coconut and mix them both together
You put de lime in de coconut then you feel better

food

@Oneironott which means it should cook down to about one (1) large plate

one two three fo
Spider-Man, Spider-Man,
Does whatever a spider can
Calls the doctor, what’s he take?
To relieve this bellyache
Look out here, here comes the Spider-Man!

Brother brought a coconut he bought it for a dime
Sister brought another one she paid for de lime
Help me, I broke apart my insides
Help me I’ve got no soul to sell
Help me you make me perfect
Help me think I’m somebody else
You put de lime in de coconut and drink them all up

The realization you can easily filk “The 59th St. Bridge Song” to be about “send a dick pic”

To be fair, I probably didn’t realize this earlier because you can also filk the song to be about “shift to Crinos.”

@wolfe die Stadt is in der nahe aus Mainz sondern Naturpark Kuhkopf-Knoblachsaue

@wolfe even better apparently it's a short distance from "cabeza with garlic sauce" natural park

re: coyote sing along lyrics, Joan Jett, all caps

@frost "Cherry Bomb" shows up at the point where the various awesome people have finally come together as a team, and they're doing the hero walk to go out and face the big battle, and Rocket reaches down and uh, adjusts himself in his jumpsuit. So a pretty okay scene, a really awesome track. I figure they chose it in part because it's about the time period as the music on Starlord's Walkman.

@anthracite The derro? Please tell me more so I can try to figure out how to do it again...

@wolfe *clicks on Google and checks out whether the roads around there are all loops. A significant portion of Darmstadt is a grid, but maybe that's newer?

HOT TAKE (again): The Doors' song which is most appropriate for Santa Cruz is actually NOT "People are Strange" but "Waiting for the Sun"

@frost okay, apparently I can't NOT cry during the reprise of the Jurassic Park theme, so I'm gonna call it quits on the JP II soundtrack and listen to Tom Petty or The Doors or something

do NOT cry during the theme song do NOT cry during the theme song do NOT

and done with that bit of cleaning, this would have been easier if someone - and they might be someones probably about to not refund my security deposit because of cleaning costs - had installed something nicer than the cheapest ass grade of broken levelor blinds.

tune in when we ask the question; will the Jurassic Park The Lost World soundtrack help Jon do some cleaning and possibly more packing for the move? OR will it just make them sad about how the late 90s felt like there was a lot of hope and potential which now seems well beyond the horizon?
