@tabitha@chitter.xyz imho everything other than the original trilogy has this feeling of fanfic. Do we really need the tragic story of Anakin’s fall? Do we really need to know about Boba Fett’s post Rancor career, or about Han in a heist movie? Naw. So fuck it, canon can have the Eclipse and Galaxy Gun or Rey getting it in with Kylo happily or whatever I want to think happens in the series.

@chimerror if there’s anything marginalized people get really good at from being marginalized it’s “othering” people. I mean hey we’re already viewing straight/able bodied/cis/gadzei as practically an alien species, so why stop there right? /bitter

@porsupah it isn’t; either we have a physical radio on here, or there’s nothing. It’s a big change from my previous gig, where being able to listen to music via YouTube was a lot of how I held it together.

@porsupah idk; I honestly don’t like listening to NPR most of the time. Too much of a loud reminder the world is shit and I am, as an officially worthless nuisance animal, my happiness and future are in constant danger so important rich people can change the world.

@rana talk shows tend to have an angry tone which sets off hypervigilance and politicized voices only make it worse.
