As a Jew, I really don’t respond well to claims that a tiny minority with no political power and nearly no money are this oppressive elite in positions of power (and we should therefore genocide them). Even if I were very sure I’m male and my gender is nothing but, I would be duty-bound to stand with my trans sisters. TERFs are not welcome in my space; not online, not in real life, not ever.

I feel like where we *should* be at by 2023 are real “culture wars,” rather than the term describing a huge pushback on human rights. Nice but not life or death discussions. In a reasonable world we tackled things like “is it okay for teens to access hormone blockers” or “police shouldn’t summarily execute people” in the 90’s or early 2000s if that late. But this isn’t a reasonable world and we’re here with the body count mounting up, I hate it.

Actually a weird info request for those of you who own chickens;

My WtA character grew up in a safe house in the middle of nowhere and I figure they raised chickens. His pack needs a guardian spirit and he’s going to push for Chicken. What would be really positive traits of chickens that a particularly angry older teen might admire?

Gotta remember I and most other people are schlepping around with scars left by every day having to haul to places where adults and peers treated us like shit. And this by itself means “I have to haul ass to here” already has kinda a bad connotation, so it’s easy to feel even worse.

Some days I feel like there might be a future where I play TTRPGs, get back into some form of martial arts, get back into therapy, go out on dates, go to schul, get back into painting minis or model railroading.

Other days I think the future holds less and less hope until I get together enough spine to end it.

@LexYeen I was actually going a little more effete intellectual here. Is graffiti masterful design and color use, a valuable indicator of space-as-used, or is it just complete crap detracting from space-as-intended? And not only is that incredibly subjective, but even the best stuff out there might get water lasted or painted over tomorrow.

… actually thinking all that over I think my opinion is graffiti IS art.
