@mawr because it’s another place where we’re supposed to bend over and spread goatse style for rich fuckers who have never and can never contribute anything to the world aside from that they have money and are therefore considered morally superior under capitalism.
@sundogplanets I get you. My dad worked for NASA before I was born, so I grew up around a lot of “space as a promise for us all.” SpaceX just seems like another thing I’m required to love because it benefits people “better” than I will ever be, and I’m no longer interested.
@obscurestar links to some really nice spore prints.

transphobia opinion, preaching to the choir
Compare trans folks complaining about being targeted by legislation and hate crimes, which is true, to the sheer volume of harassment, threat, self-righteous gatekeeping, lies, convenient statistics, and victimhood which transphobes drop at a moment's notice.
Even if I were the cissest cis male who ever cissed a cis, even if I had no trans friends, I'd still be southern and Jewish enough to bristle at folks who have goddamn everything but who are obsessed with how they've been harmed, eagerly looking for reasons to dump venom and winning the suffering Olympics on total strangers online. And I'd still be Queer and old enough to remember the sheer glee of rightwingers talking about how happy they were AIDS was killing people.
It's my profound hope that even cis straights who find the idea of transitioning to be weird, pick up on that difference in rhetoric too, and can understand who the real villains are versus who's just trying to survive.
@anthracite remembering Sir Christopher Lee talking about playing Rochefort, the first role I really saw him in. Can he fence expertly? Sure. How about in period clothes, so wool in a warm summer, and high heeled boots? Okay difficult. Well then how about while wearing an eyepatch?
@frang other than butter chicken?

The upshot of rereading a big chunk of PF2e rules book yesterday is today's Hot D&D Take; PF2e is basically a successful 4e. You can play anything; feats are how you do multiclassing; there are no dead levels or obviously underpowered class benefits.
But using different feats to benefit more generalized situations feels like something you can play without being linked to a map and keeps bonuses for players from being the ginormous sprawl of 4e abilities.
@frang they had someone predict the future by cutting up onions?
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
