#subpost "oh, I guess we need to defend Canada from Skrulls coming over to your hoose to steal all the Timbits or something. So instead of spending our budget on Leopard IIs or something we'll just FIND some hoser and outfit 'em with an adamantium skeleton, that'll fix things right up eh?"
@arakin It's an 80s fantasy movie, which means there's some completely brilliant, gorgeous, sad stuff in there when it isn't cheesier than a visit to the Tillamook Cheddar factory,. The James Horner soundtrack is a little like if Star Trek II were instead about Sulu swashbuckling.
#subpost the wild thing is my last D&D character WAS nonbinary, completely accidentally. Started with the stereotype of bald svirfneblin, then I found out they can be sexist so an AFAB would be adventurer wants a binder and their head shaved. They were okay reading as female to non-gnomes though.
I am attempting to go through customer service, as SHOULD be procedure when the website DOESN'T FUCKING WORK, to swap out this thing which is a violation of personal boundaries for someone else's convenience in the first place, so right now I would like to punch something or better yet just reschedule the goddamn drug test, go piss for it, and not have to worry about it again.
@frost they're STILL making noise
@frost I mean, maybe it worked as a threat? I'm just hypervigilent is all, right now.
coyote sing along hour, thinking about upcoming birthday
so you run and you run to catch up to the sun, but it's sinking
and racing around to come up behind you again
the sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older;
and shorter of breath,
and one day closer to death.
ev'ry year is getting shorter,
never seem to find the time.
plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines,
hanging on in quiet desperation is The English Way,
the time is gone,
the song is over,
I thought I'd so much more to say.
Home, home again.
I like to be here when I can.
When I come home cold and tired,
it's good to warm my bones beside the fire.
Far away, across the fields,
the tolling of the iron bells
calls the faithful to their knees
to hear the softly-spoken magic spells.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
