I love how Taco Bell ads are all "the new $7 Luxe it's lux for less get favorites from past decades are the 90s back" etc and meanwhile Jack in the Crack has the Munchie Meal which I feel is a more honest acknowledgement of exactly why someone wants to eat one.

re: attention canines of the fediverse

@LexYeen oh you don't get me that easily *makes sure you actually threw it before racing at it*

this “Restful 1930s Radio for Naps” YouTube mix is crap, I woke up 30 minutes in and was promptly convinced Martians were landing in New Jersey

it's beginning to look a lot like naptime

@LilahTovMoon that's where the people go who idealize the past without having lived it - which from the perspective of a post-scarcity society willing to send the military round to help out if needed, isn't a bad deal really.

I've never entirely grown to like the EEO forms. I always feel like they want to know what my forearm tattoo should include, something like that.

@LexYeen wait how can a population that predominantly grows their beards out be twinks?

The parade that’s electric serves no real purpose,
Just takes up a lot of juice just to impress us.

MANMAN! When teen Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive commuter at the Flushing Ave station, he gained incredible adult powers like the proportionate ability to do taxes as someone actually paid to do them, and masking nearly constantly perched on the verge of a meltdown!

alas I realized “Stan Sakai” has the same scansion as “Spider-Man” but can’t actually come up with a good filk for this

Wherever there’s a hangup
You’ll find the Stan Sakai

“Grandma’s Rustic Tomato Soup” like there’s exactly one large stewed tomato. Glowering in the center of a bowl of broth, like a matzo ball.

I still have little twinges of my art's fucking useless because I missed opportunities to go professional, it's not as appealing and popular as other folks', and I see technical flaws. But then I have nights like tonight where drawing helped pull me out of a bad mood, that's the opposite of useless.

@Tuftears Well, that's the Robert Howard scenario definitely. That's part of why I wanted to show the jaw hanging open, to be more apparently dead.

Toegain, to regrow your toe hair is this anything

Okay, I shaved and as usual when I do so I am struck by how incredibly durable the hair around my knees is. It's pretty stubborn in the face of razors and chemical treatments. Centuries after I die, the archaeologists will find at best a few fragments of bone, possibly some darker stained soil... and perfectly intact knee hair.

@Tuftears That's actually canonical!

I don't know how much you know about 40K, but all orks are mildly psychic and the biggest way it manifests is believing in their technology literally makes it work. So a lot of their armor and vehicles looks *very* kitbashed, because it's whatever the orks think works.
