dream last night - I'm with a friend showing off these 90s vintage, West End Games Star Wars splatbooks I'd just bought, and we're looking at a fake ad for cybernetics. Black and white with 1990s awesome computer graphics of a head and a dissected hand. The text is something like "She sees his screens. He holds her hand" and I say something like "if my fingers looked like that they'd hurt more than they already do."
"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!"
"My mother was a pure woman from a noble family. And, unlike some, I know who my father is."
"WAIT WAIT WAIT how did you learn our language?"
@Tuftears "whole armies of grinches" oh, those would be the githyanki. :)
#drawing last night - originally I wanted to riff off the”Celtic elves” concept but I really couldn’t make the description of riastharae from the Tain work on the elf champion’s face. And in fact I’m unsure I successfully communicated it at all!

@Oneironott no matter what, no matter how far apart we might be, you’re a good otter.
@Kusimanse tengu or kenku depending on if you're in Pathfinder or D&D!
@Tuftears Look, walls are built either low enough that a ninja can scale them with various gimmicks (vaulting over each other, standing on sword guard etc) *or* have enough unfinished stone that it's easier to climb with gimmicks (folding hook ladder, nekode).
You wouldn't want to be rude to ninja after they spent all this time coming up with awesome gimmicks, would you?
So I double checked and a Cost of Living Raise is supposed to catch up with the Cost of Living. That's supposedly 2.5% for Seattle, so even though I'm pretty angry about it, my company's willingness to grant me only a 3% raise is basically Cost of Living.
Which then raises the question, how has the cost of living in the Seattle area *only* somehow increased by 2.5%?
#drawing last night. A modeling video I watched converted a huge dragon model to a bat styled dragon for use in Ravenloft. I figured this was a nice vampire dragon design and thought a Ravenloft-y PC to fight could be a werewolf, but now I think I’ll nix the werewolf to show off the dragon more.
#drawing last night - there’s a little composition thumbnail of a more angular version I’d think might look more dynamic - but maybe this actually works as is? Also part of why I was thinking of Excalibur earlier was listening to the soundtrack while drawing.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
