Half Price Books had Chaosium Runequest books, but I held off since these are pricey for being sparsely illustrated and a setting/system nearly nobody remembers.

@Tuftears slightly off topic, clicking on Wikipedia's listing really drives home how relatively recently Journey of the West was written by comparison to when Xuanzang roadtripped to India and back. Also, I hadn't realized that rather than being over a big spread of time like the events they describe, most of the "great Chinese novels" are solidly Ming dynasty, which really jams home how prosperous they were for a while.

Tell someone they're right to feel that way and you're doing big important sweeping shit to combat it, and they feel powerful, justified, and good about themselves.

They won't remember YOU caused the financial inequities, YOU are the outsiders with money running everything, YOU are the people spending money on unimportant bullshit, YOU are the people pushing an agenda which isn't rational, acceptable or sustainable -- and you're doing so in violation of checks, balances and laws put there to try and protect the populace from whatever whims their government chooses. Those are facts, and not feelings of being powerful, justified, and good about themselves.

GenAI is a perfect fit, because you're mythologizing the past and present, while not truly acknowledging the future (for instance, that maybe blowing through that much water is a terrible idea). This might be age or greater artistic skill but I keep being blown away by color gamuting. One artist I follow is GOOD with black and white; he’s MASTERFUL in color. I’m seeing color choice push things to the next level in completely different areas; furry porn, MTG cards and southwest Gay culture.
