Lately I’ve been really feeling how big a button I have about being set up to fail (intentionally or not), then criticized for being innately flawed as reason for failing. This did happen a lot in childhood so worrying about it is a huge holdover.

I feel like in a free market economy, “does it hurt anyone?” translates into “does it fuck with money?” And like a lot of things in our *actual* lived experience, all the sensitivity etc which costs about nothing and makes for profitable markets and consumers, gets stomped down. I’m thinking about this with some rightwing apologist on birdsite setting “wanting to be paid for work” to all the other lefty stuff they denigrate. These folks actually just want feudalism.

Turns out that the reason I was suddenly pushed out of what I thought was my assigned parking space is that they literally never kept records of assigning me a parking space.

I maintained that I paid $100 monthly since I moved in. This is substantiated by THEIR ledger, and appears substantiated by my bank statement, despite the management agent trying to tell me that they saw an overpayment only for last month. They wanted me to come in tomorrow to talk about it and I can't; I'm on shift.

I've also asked if I can have a different space from the narrow spot they've assigned me now.

I've sent email and left a voice mail with these details.

I'm now going to make my credit card payment and try to enjoy my evening despite this.
