oh YEAH lumpers vs. splitters cage match! Give him the chair!
okay, probably nobody is going to find that funny except me. Also I'm reminded of the "Oglaf" strip about sexual dimorphism in fantasy which *has* T. regina.
what if we had a polyamorous Queer makeout session in the Star Wars luxury hotel
#drawings today, I really REALLY wanted to break out the blue Col-erase. Anyway, some skeleton warriors and a couple of fiends. Censored 'cause the babau is originally swingin' around, like "Den."
Did I mention that I made the mistake of telling my folks I was thinking of trying to move to a new job, responded to being asked why by explaining that I really didn’t like staying late every Friday on top of working late other days, and I got “well what else are you doing Friday nights? They’re paying you.”
#drawings so far today. Deep in the Underdark duergar confront adventurers from the surface world. And, a monk nimbly dodges an attacking ogre!
Wayne Reynolds has been drawing various saints, so I've been looking up some of the ones I don't know. St. Simon Kananios is one of the original apostles, but it's not entirely clear who he was or whether he was from Kana or one of the Kanaim. Also, sources differ whether he was martyred in two different ways or died peacefully - in three different places.
finished the last of the burned eggplant (the recipe has pomegranate seeds, which honestly don't make eggplant glop with garlic better than it's already going to be), sauteed cucumbers and fennel, made this carmelized shallots with thyme stuff, ate a couple of croissants. Like I'm channeling Galactus or something.

opinion about the war in Ukraine
Yep, there it is; the offensive has bogged down in urban areas, because offensives always bog down in urban areas and people always start wars thinking they'll win in no time.
And when swift territorial gain becomes a slog which looks terrible in the news, the politicians and their pet media either work extra hard trying to sell the war or they pipe down about it as it grinds on for years. At this point I can't say "Putin's going to lose power over this," and there's a chance this may go back to simmering.
But I worry a lot about the protesters. It's key to a war like this that the politicians insist the entire populace loves them and that any who object are the weird far left, and between that and the usual careful regard police anywhere have for human bodies, rights and dignity, there are a lot of Russians who are not safe right now.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
