A few more, this time with the lake!

Here’s some of where I went yesterday.

Later I said;

“Portland has a certain self awareness that it’s shitty. Seattle residents will maintain they live in this awesome place the whole time price increases push them out to Everett.”

In retrospect I’m not sure this is true.

Comment yesterday; NYC is the city that never sleeps, but Seattle is the city that wants you in bed at 10 at the latest.

Honestly now that I've done *some* inking I really want to do more, so that makes me more eager to skip work than usual - not only is there something else I want to focus, but when I get out I usually find penciling comforting, and I don't have time to pencil *and* ink.

I get in this loop of staying up because if I'm actively feeling terrible, I can take off from work, right? And then I don't take the time off, because I need the money...

and it just hit me that what if I took the time off, without the feeling terrible part, just because (more honestly) I would like time off work. This is a bad job/bad time for it, admittedly, but maybe I should try that sometime.

look, I just woke up to use the bathroom, could my brain please stop mixing bits of a movie from several months back with work anxiety?

Okay so something about JP is they really REALLY build the 'raptors up. I'm trying to remember if II-III had quite the equivalent. And with Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom you knew what might be the big adversaries from early in the movie.

Dominion winds up feeling a lot more haphazard. Giganotosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus get at least a brief blurb on what they are... but so does Dreadnoughtus, which winds up not really DOING anything in the movie. I happen to recognize Therezinosaurus - but she's never named, and there's no explanation that she might in fact be a herbivore as currently thought. Dilophosaurus gets this menacing role in the movie - but it's not like oooh, we've known from 2 minutes in that they're bad news. Pyroraptor and Dimetrodon show up to be a danger and then never enter the movie again. It's so completely opposite a lot of earlier in the franchise, you know?

One of the fights in HS, this teacher rushed into the hallway and faced with grappling an angry halfback or an angry underweight nerd, pinioned the latter. Consequently my bully got in some damn solid hits and I actually have no memory of beyond that point. I *do* remember I got a week of detention for it. Anyway some social/political stuff reminded me of that - real easy to urge me to fight back, real impossible to actually fight back.
