I can only conclude that enough people posted their elf/drow OCs gettin' it on to awaken She's Thirsty On Main.
Images, fantasy humanoids, eye contact
#drawings today were D&D or Pathfinder characters. Kobold alchemist, half orc barbarian with improbable armor, derro mage or savant; drow elf ranger and tabaxi or cat folk rogue.
Images, fantasy humans/humanoids, eye contact
No new pencils today, #drawings were all inks. Two ghouls, a noble warrior and a semi-feral; a selection of rogues; mounted wizard with a companion/apprentice and a batch of wizard portraits.

I've been thinking; one of the big cracks in the self-hate was, it's just too convenient an assumption - about it being all my shittiness, all the time. Maybe a similar crack in the unrelenting pessimism (and it's been *bad* lately, between work and you know, this...) is that it too is a little too pat. Too everything wrapped up with a bow.
rant, MCU movies not doin' it for me
My lack of interest in MCU movies is this weird combination of things. Ironically growing up as a nerdy misfit means I bristle at "this is OBVIOUSLY something you LOVE and you're STOKED FOR IT" even when it's say, movies about Doctor Strange or TV shows about Star Wars. I feel like the OBVIOUSLY something you LOVE and you're STOKED FOR IT" for every single movie, every single year, burned me out faster than just more stories with familiar characters. The big one of course is still, I just like comics more as a medium. You pick up a comic book and for $1-5 you have cartoony looking superheroics (unless we're talking about say, Simone Bianchi art) you can read on the bus or during lunch, and flip back through and copy art to learn from it, that's way better imho than $8-$16 and planning 3 hours of your day, some of which is trailers you don't care about, with really GOOD cinematography which won't stick in your mind long enough for you to sketch it.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
