Ph-, money, religion mention
So they x-rayed my mouth and were able to seal the crown back on my molar EXCEPT now they want to deepen the crown, which is reasonable, and which will require pulling the unerupted wisdom tooth immediately behind it, which is also reasonable. But my dental insurance kicks in next month, and the dentists are only open during normal work hours so I need to take time off, which means I don’t feel comfortable also asking for Yom Kippur off as I’d really wanted.
complete list of Cure songs I got completely wrong
"Lullabye"
Jon - it's about childhood sexual abuse
Robert Smith - oh, me uncle used to tell us bedtime stories about a spider-man who ate children
"The Hanging Garden"
Jon - it's about animism in the face of horrifying habitat and species loss
Robert Smith - oh, it's about animals f*cking or something
"Catch"
Jon - he's yearning for an idealized relationship of the past
Robert Smith - oh, I used to have intense hallucinations of a girl when I was a kid, but they went away after a terrible plane flight, and then later I met someone who was a lot like the girl I hallucinated
"A Forest"
Jon - okay it probably isn't about werewolves but I like thinking it is.
Robert Smith - oh it's about being lost in a forest.

#drawings today included two anthro fox pinups; a dhergoloth and arcanoloth (neutral evil fiends from D&D, so copyright WotC); and, a fighter and sorcerer face skeletons somewhere in a deep dungeon!
It’s amazing how fucking ridiculous The Crow is when you aren’t an undersocialized hick experiencing things like it for the first time.
I also could have put money that this thing was in technicolor. B/W is more tolerable than my eyethrobbing memories.
Anyway the actually worst I've ever seen was something called Carthage in Flames which was mindnumbingly dull yet features unconvincing romance AND unconvincing sword fights. I passed out during the movie. Oooh look it's on YouTube for free! https://youtu.be/UM5EDpftGsw
I used to think the worst movie of all time was "The Charge of the Light Brigade," in which Errol Flynn engineers one of the worst disasters in British military history to avenge a Sepoy Mutiny massacre on an evil raja who for some reason is hanging out in Crimea during the war.
I am now watching the ending and apparently I forgot that 1) the Charge was a win for the Great Britain (good show, jolly good show) 2) Russian cavalry were involved and 3) Ukraine looks remarkably like California.

Except then I spotted even more I didn’t like and futzed with the Aenocyon vs Smilodon pic more.

#drawings today; I didn’t like the left forepaw on the foremost dire wolf so I redid that and added some stuff; and today was apparently mostly figuring out helmets. So; some Vietnam era American types, with one Soviet sniper; and, a Heer infantryman prepares a nasty ambush for some Brits at Market Garden.

Just one #drawing so far today, Aenocyon versus Smilodon. Not exactly accurate paleo-art.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
