A phone conversation so enjoyable i said both „lech mir im Arsch“ and «отвали!» immediately afterwards. I need an ibuprofen and an iced oat milk latte and to NEVER DEAL WITH THIS DUDE AGAIN.

Fishing vessel docked nearby has a li’l Jolly Roger flag at their stem. Historically the flag indicates no quarter asked, so I assume it’s a very literal FISH FEAR ME.

Again my strategy of “I feel isolated and un/undervalued at this job, hang out on Twitter to feel I’m in touch with similar people,” has predictably backfired. I wish it were easier to feel connected to a world I actually like while here, or while with my parents.

realized that stuff my coworker does (interrupting me on calls to tell me what to do, reaching over my shoulder to check the DB entry for a customer I’m talking with, asking about phone conversations with customers after they’re done) IS setting off hypervigilance, irritability. Unsure currently how I can help myself with knowing this.

Just one today, two fire giants and an ice troll! I felt like breaking out the Col-Erase blue. Also like listening to RAtM.

*continues looking at stuff about NL* it's pretty much always "I want to ride railways through western Europe" o'clock somewhere isn't it?

okay, just randomly looking at stuff about NL. Groningen looks neat. Huh, noteworthy locals included a stage magician who bought it in the camps.

Wait a moment, there was a classical composer, from Groningen, Joseph Ascher. ASCHER?

... I mean there's very little chance the guy was a relative, there are tons of Aschers from outside Ukraine, but it's not impossible.

Again the AI art thing wouldn’t be a big deal if 1) art for bucks generated enough money to live on 2) people could just stick to art as a hobby more easily knowing they’d survive okay and 3) the people gleefully saying artists have nothing to worry about are the types who make 1 and 2 impossible.

Ph-, money, religion mention

So they x-rayed my mouth and were able to seal the crown back on my molar EXCEPT now they want to deepen the crown, which is reasonable, and which will require pulling the unerupted wisdom tooth immediately behind it, which is also reasonable. But my dental insurance kicks in next month, and the dentists are only open during normal work hours so I need to take time off, which means I don’t feel comfortable also asking for Yom Kippur off as I’d really wanted.

complete list of Cure songs I got completely wrong

"Lullabye"
Jon - it's about childhood sexual abuse
Robert Smith - oh, me uncle used to tell us bedtime stories about a spider-man who ate children

"The Hanging Garden"
Jon - it's about animism in the face of horrifying habitat and species loss
Robert Smith - oh, it's about animals f*cking or something

"Catch"
Jon - he's yearning for an idealized relationship of the past
Robert Smith - oh, I used to have intense hallucinations of a girl when I was a kid, but they went away after a terrible plane flight, and then later I met someone who was a lot like the girl I hallucinated

"A Forest"
Jon - okay it probably isn't about werewolves but I like thinking it is.
Robert Smith - oh it's about being lost in a forest.

today included two anthro fox pinups; a dhergoloth and arcanoloth (neutral evil fiends from D&D, so copyright WotC); and, a fighter and sorcerer face skeletons somewhere in a deep dungeon!

It’s amazing how fucking ridiculous The Crow is when you aren’t an undersocialized hick experiencing things like it for the first time.

Introducing a couple of friends to The Crow. Out of sheer altruism, incidentally, I’m not trying to convince them to play OWoD <strike>and we can’t find d10s anyway </strike>.

Just described The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad as The Arabian Nights through the filter of someone who ate a falafel sandwich once.

see if I wanted to make a HP franchise game I'd skip the connotations of goblin revolution and make it instead about wrestling, with the return of Lord Swoledemort
