I’ve decided that I really hate having a tooth extracted. I got through this with repeating the Heart Sutra, memories of friends this past summer, and focusing on my breath, and it *still* wasn’t easy.

Yesterday’s #drawings. A trio of undead soldiers, and two giants (storm & death giants). Trying to do costumes which aren’t just Western European.

Here’s a dumb question; we’re worried about visibility for really big trucks (you know the sort of pickups I fucking hate, but we’re stuck with) and you’d figure a cab forward would resolve that. Do we need the crumple zone from a hood more on a smaller truck, or can we simply not stick the engine lower in a smaller vehicle? I’d have figured engine design is compact enough we *might* be able to do the second part.

I really wish I felt less existentially endangered.

Are we in for new and horrible variants of Covid? Will the Nazis win the midterms? When will my rent increase next, how's the dentist thing going to play out, how much will car stuff cost? What's going to increase in price next?

But there doesn't feel like there's an equivalent positive to hope about. There's no looking forward to a vacation, a con, skipping work just 'cause, travel, dates, getting to really promote my drawing effectively, getting to resume martial arts classes, etc. But day job and parents are a constant.

It's like being a kid still.
