Also, I *really* did not need to recover those memories of the 80s - mostly glurgy "soft rock" on Z-93 on the school bus and running into a particularly gross track on the speakers at a Vietnamese place my parents liked. I can't say this often enough; Twitter's centralization means I can access artists, scientists and friends who are inaccessible on Mastodon because they're on other servers, but Twitter's centralized, easy-access-to-everything also comes with easy access to right wingers and their opinions.
