oh yes I forgot to tell you the Spice is found on only one planet in the known universe. The planet is Arrakis also known as Dune.

When you're feeling sad and low
We will take you where you gotta go
Smiling gently everything is free
All you need is positivity
the beginning is a very delicate time
know then that it is the year 10191
the known universe is ruled by the padishah emperor shaddam IV my father
in this time the most precious substance in the universe is the spice melange
the spice extends life
the spice expands consciousness
the spice is vital to space travel
the spacing guild and its navigators whom the spice has mutated over 4000 years use the orange spice gas to fold space
that is to travel to any part of the universe without moving
stuff on YouTube, D&D, simulated violence
oh WOW
okay there was this BBC show "Connections" that'd get frequent play on public television so when I was a kid. The episode I remember best "connected" plastic to credit cards as part of credit which connected up to pike squares thence to canned food, refrigeration and air conditioning.
That particular episode made such an impression because a chunk featured reenactors and REALLY sold me on knights, medievalism and D&D and related. I saw that and went WOW I WANT TO BE THAT despite the way the knight meets a bad end. And someone finally posted that clip to YouTube!
ME: The Hanging Garden is about losing both biodiversity and animist traditions
ROBERT SMITH: it’s about animals fucking or something innit?
ME: Lullabye is about child sexual abuse
SMITH: my uncle used to tell us stories about a spider man what ate children
ME: A Forest is about werewolves
SMITH: look m8 what’s wrong with you, it’s about being lost in a forest
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
