I think it’s the line about not expecting to grow flowers in the desert, and seeing the sun in wintertime (surely it can’t rain nonstop May through July?) but I’ve always parsed “In a Big Country” as being about Australia, rather than Scotland.

We’d all be better off if this were the day a massive stroke or heart attack took me out, but we’re not that lucky, so I will try to do an okay job.
