Okay, I basically hit the same stuff as Sunday. Today it took me somewhere under 2 hours to step things back from how I'm this terrible THING to "definitely hitting big buttons," so I feel good about that progress. I have a beer and shitty faux Chinese food from Safeway and am trying to chill out.

The news finally came down my contract’s ending. Much as my indoctrination tells me this proves I’m a failure, I was brought on for a project that never came through and was useful enough to stay on 7 weeks beyond my original contract. I’ll miss the money and being between jobs is scary.

"the public is rapidly turning against AI" well maybe that's because its only benefits are

1) cutting costs on actual employees
2) being told it's the way of the future

Really. You don't sell someone the haft of a hammer, especially one which apparently requires a huge expenditure of lumber, and tell them it's a miraculous multitool that will replace most carpenters.

I wish the person with the bass boosted stereo a very happy I hope your stereo breaks down. There's no off key inebriated Spanish singing so it's not one of my upstairs neighbors' infamous YAY ARBITRARY EARLY MORNING ON A WORKDAY parties.

Rain Dog boosted

gettin' into this Heilung recording by gettin' naked and painting a big NAUTHIZ FEHU RAIDO bindrune on my chest

today. In a dream Tuesday morning I was looking at these really cool White Wolf magazines with way better covers than the real ones had. Some of them were by William O’Connor, alav hashom, I think this was a Kaluta cover.

I am painfully obviously NOT Michael Kaluta.

it's practically quiet hours do NOT howl along with the Heilung track

sunshine beatin' on the good times
moonlight racin' from the grave
string band playin' worn-out honky-tonks
pretty young thing goin' dancin' in the rain

high heeled lady spittin' at the nickerjacks
businessmen with a needle an' a spoon

we all went out to Montauk
by the Lake Geneva shoreline
makin' fart noises with our armpits
we didn't have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers
made the juiciest farts around

Which is better for me to try first?

1) monster attacks someone in the water? If so during or about to attack?

2) wizard enchants an object while a batch of harpies look on?

3) more abstract layout of a vampire, mage and werewolf, all framed by smoking braziers?

@CoyoteTraveller i realized this morning I have the same “the character I want to be in the story/movie is the magical sidekick, NOT the protagonist” thing as you. I think it’s a tangle of narrative style meets gifted child experiences.

One today. I look and I go, THAT’S what you so desperately needed to make, o sensitive artist? Yep. Yes it was.

Do you ever feel the need to favorite peoples' photos, not because you think they're smokin' hot, but because you feel we've all been told we aren't/can't be be smokin' hot, and you feel them believing they are is GOOD and HEALTHY and should be encouraged at every turn?

something believe it or not sympathetic hit a sore nerve and I am this close to spewing incredibly bitter, angry bile which would alienate nearly everyone and would not help with anything.

Fiyuh and lightnin' comes from da sky, from da gods uv da sky. But crom is y'ghod, CROM! An' he lives in da oit! Onct, dey was giants in da oit, Conan. An' in da darkness of Chaos dey tricked Crom and dey took from him da enigma of steel.

Also I really REALLY want a nap. Like if you offered to fence me? Or buy me doughnuts? Or I could nap instead? I’d still take nap.

there's so much I want to do and explore and it really is NOT going to happen, which is frustrating.
