D&D adventure idea; ghost tower
In a forest haunted by mindless undead, a tower appears then disappears annually. The undead are too dangerous for most locals to be curious. The PCs come into a map of when the place WASN’T a forest but the wizard’s tower of Scziss the Mad. That tower supposedly fell in a huge explosion when Scziss and his opponent’s spell combined, and contained a huge orrery which Scziss used to predict a star map of the future as well as a batch of powerful magic items. Anyway since there are no dumb little #drawings tightened today, here’s yesterday’s dumb little drawing.
Since I'm still learning (probably pretty basic) Chinese history, Kaifeng shows up as more significant. I'd first heard of the city years ago because it's home to China's natively Jewish population, so I keep expecting it to be fairly far west - but it's in Henan, on the Yellow River, in the center.
I am running the panel "Writing Wolf's Journey" at #canfur2024 on Saturday starting at 12:30pm EDT in room Richelieu.

Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
