Today’s AHDH rabbit hole; trying to identify a monk’s robe (NOT a kesa) pulled up a cool guide to a monk’s traveling outfit with transliterations! But some items are still cryptic, and maybe there are military equivalents. I thought an infantryman was “heitei” but apparently it’s actually “gunjin” or “heishi.” BUT I’m not trying to learn Japanese SO I looked for the Chinese, and soldier is “shibing” which doesn’t match how -shi/zhi seems to be a profession? So I dug more and “knight” is “qishi.”

Somewhere within the last 8 years a Chaos player has heavily kitbashed a Great Unclean One and/or a Trump bobblehead or something similar, but can’t actually field it with their army for fear of a long pro-Trump harangue/being accused of being pro-Trump.

Over a decade ago, I was part of a gaming group eager to play through some of the first PF1e adventures. We had a great time and made incredible memories together (the hat of disguise and the ogres! the sorceress' ancestry revealed, and the time she took to the sky in dragon form to face a marauding wyrm! the dreaded BROCCOLICH!) before the group fell apart, and naturally I wanted to get hold of those PF1e adventures (you can't capture lightning in a bottle but the bottles still have good associations...) and had good used bookstore luck

Without a good GM and the sheer chaos of an actual game, any premade adventure is gonna read as at least a little mechanistic; accepting that, these are still good modules. The tone-deaf amateurish "we wrote this in high school" material comes kinda into play in the modules, and what you'd never see while playing through them is it's baaaaad in the monster and world-building here.
