"Garthim soldiers! Go, fetch a large oatmilk latte!"
* awesome Trevor Jones leitmotif *

"Latte, hmmm!"

Aww man Ursula Creed is Usakar’s daughter. I was kinda hoping when I found out about her that Usakar had transitioned. That would’ve pissed off so many misogynists into 40K!

skipping work so I can instead be an adorable vaguely fox like animal moving through a side scrolling adventure with plenty of sad wistful moments in an enchanted forest

oh we're Duneposting again thanks to this conversation in the Plaza on Tapestries MU*

the beginning is a very delicate time. know then that this is the year 10191. the known universe is ruled by the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, my father. in this time the most precious substance in the universe is the spice melange. the spice extends life. the spice expands consciousness. the spice is vital to space travel

the spacing guild and its Navigators whom the spice has mutated over 4000 years use the orange spice gas to fold space, that is, to travel without moving.

oh yes I forgot to tell you the spice is found on only one planet in the known universe, a desolate dry world of great deserts. hidden away in the rocks and crevices of those deserts is a people known as the Fremen who have long held a prophecy that a man would come, a messiah, who would lead them to true freedom. the planet is Arrakis, also known as; Dune.

"This is what it's like to awaken on a Necron Tomb World" uh let's see;

* the alarm goes off several centuries too soon and it's a tinny version of Steve Martin's "King Tut"

* sarcophagus emblazoned with Tomb World 's mascot, Sammy Scarab

* coffee and a bagel are for organics, such things are long in your past

So last week I found some of Hellboy: Darkness Falls and both issues of Hellboy: The Island and uh… I think either the writing changed a lot or I fell out of love with the character and the world, or both.

yesterday had issues but got me thinking about stuff to study.

but what we REALLY want to know is which Primarch had the best tits

Sanguinus is probably too obvious

the existence of Jack in the Box, Dairy Queen and Burger King implies the existence of an Ace themed fast food chain

Playing “Spybreak” while alone in the office is a great way to figure out if your office is big enough to do a cartwheel (I’m usually alone here and no, I stopped before I kicked anything).

I am surprised to find that - outside of two incidents in which victorious Hussites were complete bastards to everyone, Jews included - my usual expectation of medieval Europe and what we're told about it doesn't actually apply to the Hussite Wars. And I can therefore persist in oversimplifying them, of course.

today wasn’t intended as vent art - originally I’d wanted to draw a ghoul lord inviting a wizard to an apparently feast, and she’d dispel the illusion to reveal body parts and entrails. This isn’t my usual deal. CW for drawn parts of corpses.

occasionally I think I'm superhuman right up until something triggers me and it's ridiculously easy to trigger me.

@erin_kitsune points out that I'm not human, but then neither's Superman and *he's* described as superhuman.

VAUBAN! is the onomatopoeia for “constructing a star fort for siege warfare,” which is why it doesn’t surface in comics very often.
