so in The Wild Robot, Mark Hammill plays a bear. This gruff, deep voiced character older and crankier than anyone else in the movie. So essentially you've got a movie where Mark Hammill plays Harrison Ford.

imho the point of 40K is that pretty much every faction is right bastards AND anyone can be true heroes.

like; what's ACTUAL heroism if you're an 8' tall superhuman in ceramite casually blasting away with what's normally a squad support weapon? What's heroism if you're merely a normal human in a battlefield full of 8' tall superhumans and somewhat plastered green Arsenal fans in search of cheap kebobs? What's truly heroic to a somewhat plastered green Arsenal fan in search of cheap kebobs?

leaving "AAAAAAAH! *runs, flails hands in air" as a comment on all early Beatles tracks on YouTube

satanic messages, sure, but did you know when you play The Beatles' "Number 9" backwards, they tell you about "Number 6"? Either that or if you play it while standing on your head, I'm not quite sure.

and now something nobody asked for

what if FURRY PORN were 90s WARHAMMER ART?

The world has changed. Much that once was, isn’t. It began in the faraway kingdom of Salamasond. But then King Yertle, the King of them all, decided the kingdom he ruled was too small. He ordered all the turtles onto one another’s back. And into this stack he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life.

Anyway. This weekend was the Antiquarian Book Show, so I went early with my Dad. Not entirely selfless since I haven’t been since 2019 and I thought I’d find something fairly recent but affordable. A lot of valuable stuff was in cases; here’s some of what interested me.

Hallmark movie where a big city girl is called out to a routine excavation around Christmas and Otzi the Iceman melts her heart with the power of love and also h̶̖͎͒̈ͅa̵̢͔͝l̶̛̥͎̙̥̈́̐͘̕ľ̸͜ụ̶̲̈́̍̐c̵͎̤̽ȋ̴̬̃̂n̸̺̗̲̙̪̆̏̐̆͠o̸̟͇̿̇̌͆͠g̸̝̱̯̗̬͐͐̐̏̿ḙ̷̢̡̪̈́̍̌̔n̷͎͛ḯ̴̭͕̂̊͜c̶͖̬̃̆͆̋͛ ̶̲̎m̶̨̗͎̆̽̿̾u̵̥̲̓̂̇͊ͅs̷͉͓͕̘̎̆̃̒̅h̸̙̑̈́r̷̯̓̒͗̅̀o̵͕̹̓ö̵͔͎͇̪̇̊m̷̛̜̠͚̅s̶͔̝͍̤̑̏̆͌

(we've taken a few liberties with Otzi, hope his descendants aren't furious as that's about half of Europe)

Little cartoon partly done during a talk about collecting pulp magazines. I guess this is a little more 50s Men’s magazine than 30s pulp though.

thrown out of the Warhammer store for loudly declaring BANEBLADE LET IT RIP every time I put my tanks on the table

for the longest time I conflated Seth McFarlane with Todd McFarlane and I was very confused

Todd McFarlane’s “American Dad” *draws like a thousand little crosshatchy lines*

Plato’s allegory of the Man Cave in which the inhabitants perceive reality through the filter of a big screen tv watched with cold beer from a huge comfortable couch. In this analogy it is the philosopher who makes the necessary phone call and orders delivery.

SPICY SZECHUAN STORIES, four issues of sizzling woks and hot peppercorns! Though some folks will denigrate these pulps as just tripe.

Starting to feel that all negative emotions are justified in feeling, they’re just less useful to hang onto, and the big difficulty here is that I feel them because I feel threatened, and it’s a lot harder to accept that I’m not especially in conditions which seem so persistent as to seem permanent.

But today, Jen's pipe gives no comfort. For today, Jen's dealing with some really egregious personal crap, not including putting up with how the whole planet's being wrecked by the fucking Skeksis again, or still rather.

Tonight’s since unsure what posting will look like tomorrow.
