unfortunately I woke up early with anxiety and am showering and getting dressed very slowly. Like Taarna, only without the being hot part.

earlier today. She held out hope for a couple of months that he was still livin’ somewhere.

After wandering around a park Sunday I went to Mount Vernon, which is basically Pleasantville. They have a really good used bookstore!

they fake you out with a title like Weird Science and then it's basically nerd vengeance fantasies with girls, like a pre-Columbine version of The Matrix, rather than it actually being really weird science like studying ctenophores or cambrian explosion stuff or anything

to be fair tho making a theme song about Anomalocaris sounds more like Devo than Oingo Boingo

actually along those lines "William Schwenk Gilbert" and "Arthur Sullivan" sound very stereotypical too. Like Sullivan would be this serious gentleman's gentleman who was Gilbert's batsman during the Great War, and they'd solve murders in absolutely beautiful countryside in the 1920s.

have you ever considered how "Arthur Wellesley," "Garnet Woleseley," and "Redvers Henry Buller" are all names someone would make up to sound English?

"'avin' a pint with me m8 Arthur Wellesley down the local. Positively buzzin' really." Like he'd be this little man in a mac and a flat cap.

and if that's true, by definition most times I thought I sucked big red baboon ass I was actually doing okay, but just uncovered another procedural thing.

had this thought/realization about art progress;

what if, in order to spot some problems, you have to get to a satisfactory stage with your last set of problems? Since you're trying to tackle literally an entire world, you still have some of the same issues say 1, 5, 20 years in, but you hadn't and couldn't spot them before?

That'd explain the cyclical appearance of This Sucks => Okay Now This Looks Okay => This Rocks (several tech aspects come together) => This Sucks (next issues spotted)

Tonight’s , trying to do one of those powerful NPCs the Realms are full of, crossed with the villains with tamed bears in a Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser story. Idk, I’m happy about some of this, unhappy about other parts.

so my idea for an anime has a dhampir vampire-hunter roaming the countryside; he's the son of Count Dracula himself, so technically a boyar, but obviously he doesn't want everyone knowing this and he posses as a humble cook, hence the title CHEF BOYAR D

Vidal Gaboon, a fancy line of scale-care and styling products

THE ALGORITHM: hey, you're interested in WWII aviation. Why not watch this 15 minute video about how B-17 wings actually saved crews where Liberators and other thin-winged aircraft didn't?

ME: time to listen to the Waist Gunner Fatality song/Don Felder's "Take a Ride" for the 6th time this week!

bench press? I can FRENCH PRESS about 3 lbs! *gently circulates water through fine coffee and mesh*

so

Half Price Books had Chaosium Runequest books, but I held off since these are pricey for being sparsely illustrated and a setting/system nearly nobody remembers.

One highlight tho was the troll book? Big forceful b/w pictures by Dan Brereton, better known for doing gorgeous full color comics.

the part of LotR when Gandalf goes to the leader of the Istari for council but finds that, now clad all in denim rainment, his old friend has adopted a new identity as “Jaruman the Blue, far more durable than white robes.”
