There are only two types of mornings; wanting to jump out of bed and do stuff, and wanting to just sleep another 1-4 hours. How actually tired, anxious or well rested you are is almost tangential.

I'm not sure why I'm always so anxious on Sunday nights when I know what my job's likely to be like Mondays, and I'm fairly confident about being able to do it, too.

And there we are again, coming back to this house is like being hit with a tangible wave of depression. I NEED OUT.

* the only reasons I’d actively WANT to stay in the fucking Bay Area would be living and working in Santa Cruz, or working for Pixar. Therefore I should apply for jobs accordingly.

* I feel like I need to submit portfolios for professional gigs (not commissions) to retain optimism about doing art for money.

Realizations;

* I keep visiting South Bay because I associate the area with past optimism. I have no optimistic associations with moving to Fremont, San Carlos, Sunnyvale, Oakland or even Alameda (though Alameda is nice enough to have won me over).

* if I like people having them practice guitar in the next room while I’m trying to sleep can be okay, even reassuring. That and how well I slept for an unfamiliar place hammers home that Oakland is not really comfortable.
