Okay break from the Ancestry Guide before *the* ancestry I want to read about/play. I’m not really interested in the genasi thing but Pathfinder (probably unsurprising given the game’s focus on feats) really develops their versions way way more than D&D. It’s definitely a better game for your character to have the blood of djinn flowing in her veins, at least beyond cosmetic terms.

Apparently in Golarion “child of primordial chaos” means “has awesome tail powers,” which is way cooler than being a child of order and law.

So Pathfinder tieflings are weird devil-people but androids are just dudes with circuit patterns where D&D warforged are awesome steampunk robots, therefore the two games are about even. Aside from D&D‘s lamentable lack of playable rats, what’s up with that?

Dude you could play a tiger schoolgirl in Pathfinder. I’m not kidding, that’s literally the illustration on p 61 of the Ancestry Guide. I dunno what you’d do in games other than eat sweets and do outrageously huge anime mouths while angry, but that’s a pretty solid motivation.

I feel like all the dire warnings are just additional misery, between how this thing always seems to gain transmissibility and how apparently I need to go be overworked every fucking week getting it again is inevitable. The worst thing about anger is that you can’t express it in all the places where it’s justified, all the landlord, pigs, politicians, logging companies and oilmen and fundies, but it comes out at all the stuff that really doesn’t mean much, shitty computer issues or random people on the road.
