Anyway *the* big reason I’m here today was needing to rush on stuff before 0900 when it left to get to Tacoma, then onto launch boats. Having pushed on that my motivation and mood is… certainly not at let’s find PODs accounting wants/crank TTB paperwork levels. Receiving shit is about the right pace. I really hope my folks do not want to do stuff for Mother’s Day, I don’t have the spoons and would have to ANYWAY, so…

I've long since given up any interest in Marvel movies and yet my interest in superhero comics is still pretty robust. This is pretty striking since Dr. Strange is a favorite character and I really liked the first movie. All I can think is that it's tied to both hype and media - that I just like comics more than I like movies.

Just really *really* emotionally low right now, there's not much reason for hope.

Maybe sleeping will be enough like dying that it'll satisfy the urge to do it for real.

my favorite Cinco de Mayo thing is that the Empire's ties to Austria meant introducing brass bands to Mexico - which is why brasses are so prevalent in mariachi music to this day.

The French also contemplated using Algerian troops against the Mexicans since they were at home in the desert. In some alternate universe this happened and mariachi music features oud and hand drums instead.

looking at one of my new (ie, used, from 1989) White Dwarfs 1) this very good artist either doesn't get how horse heads are put together or is purposefully making them easier to draw and 2) I don't think late 80s vintage GW thought through futuristic cavalry.

Important to remember that "Cinco de Mayo" is not actually celebrated by dumping mayonnaise into your sink.
