how do you politely tell a very autistic friend that what they're talking about doesn't appeal to you at all, and could they please not go on at you about it

when your relationship with your parents is defined by being unable to say anything about being talked to nigh constantly about stuff which either didn't interest you in the first place or which quickly lost all interest, and your day job involves a lot of having to be vitally involved in stuff you honestly don't find interesting at all.

so people are setting off fireworks which I can't see from here, but apparently the neighbor kids can because each technically illegal explosion prompts a batch of delighted screaming. Even if I felt right about harshing kids, I can't think of how to practically do it, I just hope everyone gets the noise out of their systems by 11.

oooh the 12 principles of animation! Which I mostly forget, I remember 1) is "an animator may not injure a human, nor through inaction allow a human to be come to harm." and I think 2) is "animate on arcs" but I'm not sure, it's been a while.

The USA is equivalent to a house with broken windows and rain pouring through holes in the roof. There’s material there to easily fix the windows and roof and now we also have to fix the floor, but some fellow inhabitants are real invested in how broken windows and a compromised roof are good actually. So the house is never gonna be a home, it’ll always feel like a squat.
