I don’t like Mastodon as much as Twitter but apparently I am now avoiding Twitter as an established ultra right wing platform.

My friend talking about how her folks sent her to a Christian counselor to help with being Gay and she figured out gender stuff instead.

Also, I *really* did not need to recover those memories of the 80s - mostly glurgy "soft rock" on Z-93 on the school bus and running into a particularly gross track on the speakers at a Vietnamese place my parents liked. Not traumatic or anything, just not particularly good memories from a lousy time.

I can't say this often enough; Twitter's centralization means I can access artists, scientists and friends who are inaccessible on Mastodon because they're on other servers, but Twitter's centralized, easy-access-to-everything also comes with easy access to right wingers and their opinions.

It's only a matter of time before I leave Twitter because I don't feel it's ethical for me to stay there, which is, of course, what our bullying egomaniacal Head Twit wants to create the right-wing echo chamber he bought using enough money to potentially fix actual problems (but his entire social class exists to make things worse, not better).

oh wow, just realizing that contrasting the way brasses hold notes and how quickly strings fade out, means a composer or conductor can play with the overlap in instrumentation with how people *hold* notes rather than being limited to people playing notes at the same time.
