oh man let's *not* listen to the soundtrack from that part of the movie, that's just fucking heartbreaking to think about

suddenly feeling really melancholy about how when you get old all your dreams become drawing as a hobby after work, and what you lived through as a kid recedes into this stylized folk memory. Life moves on, and as in the past, it's about other better people.
